Vieques Island Attractions

Located at the southern shore of Vieques island, Mosquito Bay lights up at night with a blue glow from the half-plant, half-animal microorganisms that live below the water’s surface. The best time to experience this naturally occurring phenomenon is during a new moon, when there is less light emitted from the sky, making the microorganisms more visible.
