Historic Vieques Attractions
Discover many Vieques attractions during your stay at Hacienda Tamarindo, like Fortin Conde de Mirasol. A fort built in 1845, Fortin Conde de Mirasol is a historic landmark located in the town of Isabel Segunda on the island of Vieques. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977, the fort houses an extensive collection documents and artifacts highlighting the history of Vieques.
Inside the main Colonial-style building, visitors will find the Vieques Museum of Art and History along with the Vieques Historic Archives. Take a walk around the grounds and discover the remaining walls that were built to help protect the island, old wrought iron cannons, colorful gardens, and some of the best views of the island.
Entry to the museum is free, but donations are graciously accepted.
Hours of operation: Wednesday – Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
