					When a vacation comes to an end, the last thing I am usually sad to say goodbye to is the hotel. I was SO SAD to leave this special spot! The staff is great, the breakfast is solid and the rooms are clean & comfortable. We will 100% stay here again.

					Not what you'd expect at first sight but it's quite luxury and attention to details exceeded my expectations. A pool that never closes, coffee that never ends and a killer view. A hotel that makes you immediately feel at home.

					Absolutely perfect. Friendly staff, delicious breakfast, simple yet beautiful and comfortable room. We stayed in the Caribbean queen and could see the ocean from our little balcony. Loved watching the hummingbirds come to the flowers every morning. Only things to keep in mind is that where our room was located you can hear people coming for breakfast (although I was already awake by 8am every day, so not a problem for me), and the bed was a little hard for my liking, but I got used to it. I'm already trying to plan a trip back again next year!

					We loved our stay here and would happily recommend to others. Close enough to town and many beaches but far enough away that it was peaceful. Rooms were spacious and well equipped. Having the option to rent umbrellas and snorkel gear was a nice touch. We took advantage of the honor bar and enjoyed cocktails on the balcony before heading it to dinner every night. It was exactly what we were looking for and did not disappoint.

					Hacienda Tamarindo Review

This was the Goldilocks spot for me — not too fancy, not too sketchy. I was traveling solo and felt completely safe. Everything you need for a wonderful stay has been thoughtfully considered, and the rest is up to you to discover your own island joy. Vieques is about presence, not productivity. Slow down.

The staff were relaxed, kind, and genuinely helpful — thank you to all of you. They booked my rental car, which was clean and brand new and transferred me to and from the airport; the whole experience with Maritza’s was completely painless. Reserve your car early, and if you can, get four-wheel drive. Even a small Kia is better than an ATV or golf cart unless you plan to stay only in town — exploring the island is part of the magic.

The bag lunch is genius & like the best school lunch your mom ever packed: fresh fruit and the jammiest sandwich. Order the night before, toss it (and a few beverages) into your backpack beach-chair cooler, and go.

You don’t need to chase every beach. They’re all good — sand, waves, water, beauty everywhere. Let your hosts know what matters to you, and then listen. Some people need food and restrooms nearby. Some of us want the least possible sign of humans. Some want waves; others want calm snorkeling water. Whatever you’re seeking, you’ll find it here.

I hope to return. And if you’re here in December, watch the sunsets from the upper balcony — when the sun drops on that side of the island, it’s something special.

					We had such a beautiful stay in Hacienda Tamarindo. The atmosphere is pristine the views are breathtaking. We were able to see the ocean right from our bed. The included breakfast is just what we needed every morning. The staff is helpful and very accommodating. We will definitely be coming back.
